Welcome! The Cooperation & Social Decision Lab is an interdisciplinary research group dedicated to understanding the fundamental mechanisms that drive human cooperation, competition, and social decision-making. By integrating methods from social neuroscience and experimental social psychology, we investigate how individuals and groups navigate complex social interactions and make strategic choices that shape our future.
Our research bridges the gap between brain and behavior, examining both the neural foundations and behavioral dynamics of social decision-making. Using theoretical frameworks from interdependence theory and experimental game theory, we investigate the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence when people choose to cooperate or compete, and how these decisions play out in real-world situations.
